Dave Shelton Memorial Cup

Eligibility
We will be playing the 2008/2009 birth year season. Appropriately registered Loan Players are permitted. Your team may play with either new permanent 2008/2009 player cards or last years permanent player cards (Unless you are playing U11 this next season!). U9 and U10 will be playing 8 V 8, and U11 and up will play 11 V 11.
All U11 teams MUST HAVE the 2008/2009 year player cards as these teams are moving from an 8v8 formation to an 11v11 formation. U11 Players not having the correct year cards will NOT be permitted to play. This is a State and Nationally mandated rule.
Fields
All games will be played at Francis Ryan Community Park, which is located at the intersection of East Valley Parkway and Hidden Trails Rd., behind Valley High School. Please help us keep the fields clean. There are NO dogs allowed on any field per city ordinance. Since this is a CYSA-S sanctioned event, NO SMOKING, nor ALCOHOL is allowed on the fields. [MAP]
Parking
Ryan Park has ample FREE parking.
Awards
- Each participating player and coach will receive a Tournament pin.
- Medallions will be awarded to the players and coach of the First and Second Place in each Age Bracket.
Refunds
No refunds will be allowed unless requested thirty (30) days prior to the tournament date.
Refunds will not be made for teams withdrawing after acceptance emails have been sent. In the case of inclement weather, all games may be: Shortened, Go to FIFA Penalty Kicks, or be Cancelled. There will be no refunds or reimbursements of the application fee for cancellation or forfeiture of games.

The Hotels/Motels listed below are all within about 10-15 minutes of any of the soccer fields that we will be using. There are more Hotels/Motels available if you wish to call the Escondido Chamber of Commerce at (760) 745-2125.
All hotels in Escondido, Rancho Bernardo or San Marcos are within 10-15 minutes of the fields. Downtown San Diego is only about a 30-45 minutes drive.
